For those who know me well, this is the prized Singer sewing machine we’ve had in our family since my great-great grandmother purchased it new in 1904.  You might wonder why it’s precariously stuck in the wall and suspended haphazardly over the bottom stair.  Wedged so firmly into the drywall and beneath the banister in fact that I had to cut into the drywall before I could even lift it from its unintentioned cradle.  I must say, the machine did very little damage (other than to the wall) and held its own remarkably well against all odds, though it did sustain some damage.  I laughed, I cried and then I took this picture to remind all of my readers that it’s okay to ask for help when you need it.
