This morning my illness seems to have subsided and I feel as cheerful as a dandelion. Speaking of dandelions, did you know the word dandelion comes from the French phrase dent de lion translated tooth of the lion? Named for their strong tap-root, the dandelion is near-impossible to uproot.

Why would you want to uproot a dandelion anyway?  They’re entirely edible, attract beneficial insects, generate biomass for topsoil, suppress grass, absorb excess CO2; dandelions mine for water and oxygenate the soil and when they go to seed, they resemble miniature universes on the end of a single slender stem.
