On the turning away… As we stared out over our beautiful city, stained dark by a soaking rain; air heavy with tiny beads of water hovering over the landscape, collecting light. The land looked soft and green. Even the normally stark edges of buildings blended into the pale mists encircling them so they did not feel so solid, so certain. Erick thought it best to observe the aftermath of this storm from the rooftop.

We enjoyed the St. Patrick’s Day Parade today along with the festival that followed. After all the festivities, we napped through the storm. There’s little better than being lulled to sleep by a gentle rain.
