While living in Michigan, I used to check the weather pretty frequently.  There was always fluctuation in temperature or the possibility of precipitation in the form of rain, snow, or both and then some.  In Charlotte, the weather rarely changes from a high of 85-90 with clear blue skies and lots of sunshine.

This week however, with a tropical storm making landfall so near the Carolinas, crews are out this morning checking storm drains and preparing for a solid week of storms.  We’re going to see some new weather patterns!

The other weird thing about living near the coast is that when those tones go off on your radio (you know, the emergency broadcast service), they’re not testing.  Since moving down here, we’ve had two announcements to take cover.

Okay, okay, enough about the weather.
