It looks like this election will be unprecedented in several ways.  Not only will the ticket carry both African American and female candidates, voter turn-out has more than doubled in most early voting states.  

According to WSOC-TV in Charlotte, North Carolina: “Turnout was so heavy, Mecklenburg Co. officials are extending voting hours and opening 20 voting sites this weekend instead of the originally planned five.”  

It’s exciting seeing so many new people taking their right to vote seriously.  When I turned 18, the first thing I did was register to vote.  It wasn’t cool then, but it is now, so I guess that makes me cool now, too.
