It’s good to be back in Michigan.  On our way to the farm an eagle flew high overhead.  When we returned home, I looked out and found myself face to face with a doe.  She studied me as I studied her.  No fear in her eyes; just an awareness of my presence.  She was likely aware of me long before I noticed her.

The girls did well in their lessons today, despite the bitter cold.  (American) Made and Bravo both responded well to their riders and the girls are learning and demonstrating enormous confidence.  It’s beautiful to observe.

Spring seems to be present in the bird-songs and some of the horses at the barn are shedding their coats.  Could it be?  An early spring?
